Melissa was born a long time ago in Jersey City and still lives there like a loser.
She has a degree in Mathematics and Statistics from McGill University, with Minors in Philosophy and Japanese Language and Literature. She is mediocre/subpar in all three fields.
She has a Professional Film Certification in Screenwriting from New York University and an MFA in Fiction Writing from The New School. She studied comedy at PIT, UCB, Annoyance, and some others.
She was on The PIT house sketch team National Scandal and is a founding member of the sketch group GynoCult.
She has performed at Toronto Sketch Fest, New York Sketch Fest, Landmark Loew’s StageFest, Jersey City Comedy Festival and at lots of dive bars and illegal places. She also does stand up, musical improv and burlesque.
Currently, she sells cabbage part time.
